Haven't had much in the way of news to report after the season end.
The race at Big Diamond was rained out and thus the off season work
and preparation has begun.
Jessie attended three Banquets in the last two weeks.
First was the 2nd Annual Steve Miller's Race Night Banquet. A great
time was had by all. Steve and Sally even surprised Jessie with a
Birthday cake during the evening, and "Surprised She Was". Don't know
how Steve and Sally pulled it off. He just had an operation a couple
weeks before the event. Thanks again Steve and Sally for what you do
for the racers and fans in the PA region.
Then the Trail Way Speedway Banquet in New Oxford, Pa. Jessie had a
great year and enjoyed the tight racing all year. Jessie said "It's
nice to talk to the other drivers away from the track".
Congratulations go out to Jeff Rohrbaugh again for his 358 Winged Sprint Championship.
The following week was the Lincoln Speedway Banquet in York, Pa.
Jessie was pleased to sit at the table with drivers Mike Bittinger and
Dale Hammaker and their wives, and friends of Cory Haas. Mike
finished 10th in points, no small accomplishment at Lincoln with as
many as 48 cars showing up for 24 feature spots each week. Dale
finished 2nd and we are sure he would have done better if he'd pitted
next to Jessie each week, winning the only night we pitted side by
side. Great job Dale. Congratulations Cory on your Championship as well.
Jessie wants to thank Randy and Karen Davis for all Randy's hard work
and support. This girl enjoys her time at the farm as well, memories
that are irreplaceable.
