7/10/2006 Great Night at Lincoln Speedway.

(Note: No 358 Sprint Race at Trail Way Speedway next Friday night)

Saturday night Jessie had her Digna Machine in the lead for five laps in the feature at Lincoln Speedway and was second at the red flag 7th lap.

The car went away as the race went on but all in all it was a great night.

Chad Trout a former track champ won his first win of the season followed by Eric Tomecek and Cory Haas.

Crew Chief Randy Davis was celebrating his birthday Saturday night with cup cakes made by his wife Karen and son Jake.  They were great, thanks.

Sharon and Craig Coulson and their daughter shared the night with Jessie Saturday night.  Every so often Craig would disappear to collect discarded part to auction off to help the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing at the Latimore Valley Fair Grounds www.EMMR.org .  By the way this would be a great way for you to discard your broken wings and side panels.  Just contact Craig or Sharon and see if they can find a way to hook up with you.

As mentioned before visiting the Museum would be well worth a Sunday afternoon if you haven't been there.  It's just up PA 15 past Gettysburg.

Back to Saturday night.  Jessie started the night with a great run in her heat finishing 2nd.  We are all excited about how the night went regardless of the finish.  There were 37 cars competing for 24 spot.  A tough field to make and it was our first run at Lincoln of more than 10 laps.

Jessie had a rough ride at Trail Way Speedway Friday night.  Morrison said "it was the roughest track I've run on.  I wish I could take another shot at figuring out how to drive it."

She finished just outside the transfer spot in the heat so she proceeded to the Consi.  Three of the six cars scheduled for the Consi would make the feature.  The track was graded (smoothed) for the Consi and Feature.  Jessie went on to win the Consi giving her the 22nd starting spot for the feature.  A lot of knowledge was gained in a non-descript 15th place finish.

Jeff Rohrbaugh had a great run for his fifth win of the season at Trail Way Speedway.
