8/21/2006 Two Weeks, Two Races, Two Motors, Two Bad Push Rods!!!!!!!!!
We had another tough week in the motor department. Now both our motors look alike at the Push Rod end. Motor number one will go back to Don Ott this week. He sure makes a great power plant. We can’t wait to get it back. The damage was pretty bad. Motor number two we may be able to fix and send off to have it dyno’d. Neither will be ready for this week.
Looks like we may have a borrowed motor in the car this weekend. We will update next week if all goes well.
By the way Jessie is a big part of repairs and car preparation. After pulling motor number two out of the car with her dad Sunday, it may take some work to clean those finger nails before schools starts this Wednesday. Jessie will be a Senior at Kennedy High School in Silver Spring, Md this year.
That brings up a funny item. Last week we had several folks contact us about the delay in updating the web. Jessie really appreciates the support her friends, family and fans provide. Dad was the delay and I apologize. In a two week window we were changing motors, frames and real jobs got in the way. It is nice to know you are checking our site and appreciate the updates. Thank you.
This weekend Lincoln was off (for 358’s) and Trail Way Friday night was a real challenge. Jessie started last in the heat and didn’t make the transfer spot. She had a short in the mag wiring in the Consi but made the feature. The new to us Maxim Chassis preformed great even with the motor, fuel and wiring problems. By the end of the night the motor issues won out and Jessie finished 18th.
There was a big cheering section Friday night with some great signs. Jessie saw you from the car and was overwhelmed. I believe even Scott the announcer saw the merry band at the fence. Jessie said “it’s real pleasure to have friends and fans like you”.
The number 29T Neal Amspacher had a great run for the win, congratulations.
Stephen Jorda and his number 81 team had it together Friday night for a strong 4th place finish. Great job Stephen and the whole 81 team.
Jessie’s shirts have been big hit as well, thanks.
Saturday night Jessie was at the Dietrich’s of RUPW enjoying great food and the company of many of our friends from racing. She had a great time. Thanks.
