8/7/2006 Night to remember our goals for the year.
Our goals to start the year were to finish regularly in the top 10, with some top 5’s.
Jessie finished tenth Friday night for another top ten.
With the competitive nature of our driver and crew and the good runs we’ve had a few weeks ago, our guys want so much more. Isn’t competition fun?
Jessie had a strong second place finish in the third heat behind Gerard McIntyre Jr. who is doing real well this year. Making the inversion put her in third for the feature. Jessie looked pretty good on the longer runs but not as good on the starts. Every week we are learning by leaps and bounds as a team.
#12 Mike Bittinger is coming on strong with his second win of the year Friday night. Great run Mike.
#81 Stephen Jorda picked up the Hard Charger award Friday night by passing the most cars. Great run Stephen.
Matt Jester one of our kart buddies won his first Big Block race at US 13 this weekend.
Great Job Matt.
We received our shirts Friday night. Thanks Derek for bringing them down from York.
#77 Derek Locke has been running a strong top ten in points at Trail Way all year with a good chance to make the top five.
Although he probably was not as happy with his run Friday night, he’s been running strong all year.
Thanks again.
Suzanne (Jessie’s Mom) plans to have the shirts out at Trail Way next Friday night and hopefully at Lincoln Saturday as well.
The kids small did not come in. We’ll have to check on that.
We are looking at a way to distribute over the internet as well. We should have that in place by next week.
Frank Fleming did a great job with repairing the banged up body work. Jessie loved the new orange paint down the middle.
