9/17/2006 Rain on Friday Equals a Rare Sunday Night Race at Trail Way Speedway

It looked bad the third week in a row for racing Friday night at Trail Way Speedway. The race was canceled Friday and rescheduled for a rare Sunday night race.

Jeff Rohrbaugh not only took the Checker to win both the race and the Lincoln Trial Way Shootout. Congratulations.

He and his team also had some great cake to celebrate his Track Championship. Thanks.

The race was a Pill Draw Race. That's a race where each driver draws a number to determine their starting position in each heat. That can be great or not. We are going to have Jessie work on her Pill Drawing skills. She started her Digna Machine Sprint 6th in the 3rd heat and finished 5th. That yielded a 15th starting position in the feature. From there Jessie pulled down another top 10 with a 10th place finish.
