Or A Few Points Out of 10th, A Few Points In, A Few Points Out.

Congratulations to Mike Duncan and the whole crew on your tenth place finish for the year.

We had some help a few weeks ago to stay in the hunt for the 9th or 10th place in points with a borrowed motor.

Friday night Mike and the 9th place car had a great heat run and ours was not as good so it didn't look good for moving up to 10th. We straightened out the setup and finished strong 2nd of 7 in the Consi to start 20th in the Feature.

Mike and five other cars had some help getting tangled up in the first lap or so. Mike got the worst of it, upside-down on his top wing finishing his night. That put us in 10th if we stayed about 12th or better. Jessie was in 10th at a lap 12 yellow. She had three great passes on Yellow flag laps that were reversed Friday night or she might have been father up, just racing. All in all she was having a great run. (Mike was ok)

Then with about 3 or 4 laps to go she did some accident avoidance down through the infield to end up in 14th. Mike's back in 10th. The irony was Mike and Jessie's trouble was with same car, so it all worked out, helped us into 10th and helped us out of 10th.

We sure enjoyed running with Mike and having his family and crew around, hope your shoulder is doing better Mike.

Saturday and Sunday Jessie took some time off from Sprint Racing to attend the Woodbridge Kart Club (WKC) weekend race at the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point Raceway. The WKC continues to be one of the best groups of karters in the country. Great Folks, like family. Jessie could almost go pit to pit through the whole place talking to old friends. www.woodbridgekartclub.com

Saturday one of Jessie's big brothers from karting with the help of a dozen or so old friends put her in the seat of a Briggs Animal for Sunday's Briggs Animal Race. She had a blast. A bunch of Gold Cup Alumni have banned together to run Animal Motors in the Sit-up style Enduro Kart races put on by the WKC. They call themselves the Animal House. There is some informal extra weight run in the 360# class, so the 360 class has some 390's, 370's and 360's. Jessie ran with the 390#s and had some great fun. You have to know who was running what weight to know for sure how you finished.
