Mar. 30, 2009 High Highs and Low Lows This Week
Jessie Morrison
had some high highs and low lows this week for the driver of the
20|20 Power 358 Sprint Car.
Saturday night at
Lincoln Speedway was rained out.
Jessie lost her Uncle Wayne
this past week. You could see him and her Aunt Cheryl
most weekends in the stands next to mom rooting for Jessie. He and Cheryl
were regulars in the front straight near turn one at
Trail Way Speedway
and in the straight at Lincoln Speedway in the front straight near turn
four. Jessie will miss his big smile after races no matter what the
result. He was always offering to put his
Ford Pantera motor in her Sprint car to
replace the 358 Chevy. Yes he was a big Ford fan.

He will be missed,
Racing is about family after all.
The high this week
was the chance to Co-Host Race Night on
Adams Community Television (ACTV)
with John Krall
who is moving on to be the voice of the
O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series
(ASLMS)
this year.
Craig Wagaman and his car owner
Kimmy Lawrence
were the perfect first guests as Jessie sat on the other side of the table
for the first time. Asking questions, listening to the answer and preparing
for the next question all while remembering the name of the next caller
provided an all new experience for the Driver turned Co-Host for the night.
Even the phone was a new experience! Having never taken a conference call,
talking to a phone was new. “We will practice that” said Jessie. The good
news “no callers were lost”. There are a couple of pictures on Jessie’s
picture page
http://www.jessiemorrison.com/photos.html.
John Krall was a
big help in the transition. Sue and Lynn
Borror, promoters of
Race Night,
and Mark Wherley
the station manager were happy to have the young
driver as the Co-Host. Morrison will be back this Tuesday night Hosting
Race Night with
her guest being Sam Murphy
the Vice President of York County Racing
Club known as the
YCRC. Be sure to
tune in at 7:00 pm. There is a link on Jessie's front page.
This Friday night
is the start of the 358 Sprint season at
Trail Way Speedway, Jessie hopes to see you
there; if not there, at your local track.
Have a great week!
