April 15, 2009 Everything Happens
For A Reason
We got two races in this weekend and that's a good
thing.
The bad thing, we had our best run of the weekend in the Consi on
Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway.
Jessie was able to go from 13th to 6th in the
Consi but missed the Feature. It was just a good aggressive run, better
than the 13th feature finish the night before.
Now everything for a reason: Jessie found a big crack in her front axle
while she and Cody were doing their weekly maintenance. It might be a
good thing we didn’t make the feature Saturday night at Lincoln although
it didn’t feel that way at the time. Breaking a front axle at speed in
traffic is not a good thing. It’s a one piece axle.
Jessie was 13th in the
Trail Way Speedway
358 Sprint Opener and
Brad McClelland
had a great run for the win and the Hard Charger
award.
Our friend and
Trail Way Speedway video recorder
Peg Schaffer’s
mom has cancer and will be with her in Ohio. Our prayers will be with
her.
Jessie has enjoyed hosting Race Night
each Tuesday night and it’s becoming more natural
each week. Last night her guest was Tim
Wagaman, one of our local 358 Sprint
Car drivers. They had some great back and forth. We are linking the
archived videos on Jessie’s website.
We hope to see you at Trail Way Speedway
this Friday night.
Jessie will have her
20|20 Power 358 Sprint Car at Behnke’s Nursery
in Beltsville, Maryland on Sunday the 26th
of April. Stop by and say hi. You can get directions at
http://behnkes.com. You can also see the
#60
Miracle-Gro Carl Edwards
Show Car. So bring you camera.
