April 22, 2009 A Top Ten
on a Dry Slick Night
Jessie was happy to come home with a 9th
on this dry slick night with her 20|20
Power 358 Sprint Car.
The track started out fast in practice and then
proved very fast in the heats as the leaders in each heat broke the old
10 lap track record. Jeff Rohrbaugh
in the first heat set the new record; starting 4th
he was in first by turn two. In the second heat
Logan Schuhart
broke the old record but was short of Jeff’s new
record. Then Brad McClelland
went out and broke the new and the old record.
From there the track dried out and slowed appreciably. Jessie has been
getting better and better on dry slick, the toughest surface to race
on. On this night Jeff Rohrbaugh
went from the poll to the checker for the win. There were about 12
cautions and he did a great job of varying his starts. We did well on
some and not so well on others. Under green Jessie had some great runs
on the dry slick track for her 9th place finish from a 13th
place start.
This weekend Jessie will be at
Trail Way Speedway
with her 20|20
Power 358 Sprint on Friday night and on
Saturday night with the 01 General Lee
All American Outlaw. Come see us.
